We are delighted to welcome Mistura to join the HEAL-D team!
"My name is Mistura Yusuf. My parents are from Nigeria and in Nigeria I worked as a dietitian. Currently I am a Community Champion with Diabetes UK and a Public Health Advocate with Brent Council. I'm glad to be part of the HEAL-D initiative as it affords me the opportunity to contribute to the development of a culturally sensitive intervention programme and resources for African and Caribbean people with Type 2 Diabetes in a way that will make it easier for people to manage their their condition. This will help reduce associated suffering of poor management which is unduly high in our community"
